Updates from Portishead Wedding Network and our members...

Well its been a mixed few weeks with many nervous brides worrying about the weather, will it or won't it rain? I have photographed two weddings recently where the forecast has been horrendous with heavy rain and even thunderstorms predicted. We were lucky on both occasions - at the first the bride had planned to walk to Church as it was only around the corner from her home. We watched from her lounge window as the rain fell - then it started to ease and off we went under a flotilla of brollies and some amazing photos were taken bringing humour to the day, by the time we got to church the sun had come out as it only can in England and it stayed dry the rest of the afternoon.

The second was 7th June, thunderstorms and hail were predicted by the met office - after a little rain the day brightened and off we went to church. Whilst in the church we could hear the rain over the singing of the hymns but when the doors were opened we were greeted by sunshine - only in England - and again it stayed dry all day and evening.

So brides don't worry - it rarely rains solidly - there are usually gaps were photos can be taken and at last resort brollies make great props and the rain makes all the colours much brighter!
